Achieving The Magnolia Look With Style
by Jodi
As you know, we recently launched our Instagram page. (Thanks for taking the time to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages!) We are thrilled to hear from some of you too! Recently, someone commented on a post saying, “I would LOVE to see some tips on making that Joanna Gaines-farmhouse style look great and not just look like old stuff in my house.”
Is the “Magnolia” look your goal? It can be achieved in your home!
Shiplap is the easiest wall treatment to use to achieve this look, plus it is readily available. There are also wallpaper companies focusing on offering the Magnolia look.
Shiplap can work in just about any room of your home!
Subtlety is key when it comes to upholstery. Upholstery is best in small prints or solids, again in the quiet colors, as to complement the rest of the room, not steal the show.
If you are struggling to achieve this look, try removing a couple of busier pieces. This is a look where less is definitely more. You will also find a wide variety of pieces at Vander Berg Furniture & Flooring, from furniture to accessories, that will complement this style, and we’d be happy to help you pull it all together.
Good luck with your project!
