Simplify your space this summer! Snap some pictures throughout your home (oh the beauty of digital cameras) then imagine leafing through a magazine and seeing them, through someone else’s eyes. What items make you do a double take…..in both good and bad ways? Then pack away anything that stood out in a bad way. Don’t worry…..if you decided later you really do like these items, they’re still there.
For the next month or so, live simpler. When fall comes, add seasonal touches; then go ahead and go all out for Christmas decor! Come January, when you unpack your boxes, you will know instantly if you have a place for the questionable items or if they should be tossed or donated.
Build around the things you REALLY love. Freshen the ceramic pot you enjoy with twigs and greens…go simple and natural! A fun and funky area rug could give your occasional chair new life. Your classically styled sofa may just need a new chair and some pillows for it to tell a new story. Spark conversation around the dining room table with a colorful throw and some eclectic accents. Enjoy summer. Simplify…relax and enjoy.
